Description

You find yourself in the basement of a local school. A mobile phone is lying discarded on the floor and a window has been smashed. But what is going on?

If you are looking for a fun and engaging way to practice music theory, this is it! The ‘Blue Raven’ combines an online story to explore and search for clues plus written theory worksheets full of keys to unlock hidden evidence.

Entering the music room in the online game you notice an old grand piano in the corner. Closer inspection reveals a secret compartment … but how does it open? Using your music detective skills you turn to the theory worksheets to find out more.

Gather the evidence

  • The ‘Blue Raven’ includes a printable set of ten theory worksheets (with hidden clues!) to keep forever. The book comes in a PDF format for easy printing after checkout and more information about the topics covered can be found below.
  • Search the school using seven online interactive chapters or games playable on a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Musical detectives have one years access to the online part of the mystery (which is plenty of time to close the case).
  • The pack also includes ‘Blue Raven Case Files’ so you can keep track of the investigation.
  • Can you solve the mystery by working out the identity of the criminal mastermind and also what the Blue Raven actually is? Successful investigators automatically unlock a printable certificate.

Learning has never been so much fun!

There are questions to answer in both the written and online parts of the mystery and are all set at grade one level. It follows the new ABRSM theory syllabus from 2020 – but works great for students following any study path or exam board in any country!
